Until now, PEC has not announced any confirm date of 5th class exam’s result 2013. PEC usually announces 5th class result in the end of March but it is expected that result of 5th grade would be announced on March 31, 2013 and exams would be held in the month of February.

Punjab Education commission were established in year 2005 and starts its all operations but the first annual exams of the 5th and 8th class is taken by the PEC on year 2006. PEC have a different identity and is only responsible in front of the Punjab government. PEC is now responsible of conducting annual exams of the 5th class in these following 36 districts including Attock, Bahawalnagar, Bahawalpur, Bhakkar, Chakwal, Chiniot, Dera Ghazi Khan, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Hafizabad, Jhang, Jhelum, Kasur, Khanewal, Khushab, Lahore, Layyah, Ladhran, Mandi Bahauddin, Mianwali, Multan, mazaffargarh, Narowal, Nankana Sahib, Okara, Pakpattan, Rahim Yar Khan, Rajanpur, Rawalpindi, Sahiwal, Sargodha, Sheikhupura, Sialkot, Toba Tek Singh and Vehari. All the schools in these 36 districts must have to get affiliation from the Punjab Examination Commission so that their students are enrolled for the 5th class annual examination and after getting passing marks will upgraded to the next class.
During 2011 the annual examination held under the Punjab Examination Commission there were total 1,50629 students then on the very next year in 2012 the number of students increased to 27 Lakhs and now in 2013 number of students more increased to approximately 32 Lakhs. In the year 2011 the passing percentage of the students were 42 percent which is also increased in year 2012 to 57%. Last year what happened on the date of declaration of the result what PEC is perceived is totally against the original scenario and this resulted that when such huge number of student come to the official website the website hang down for the whole day. Students and parents were so upset and starts calling in the Punjab Examination Commission but this year the Chairmen of the PEC said that there will be no situation come in front of us as we have upgraded the system to our best.
