Basically The Aga Khan University (AKU) is a research university having co-education spread over three continents. It was awarded its status in 1983 as first private and large university of Pakistan. Agha Khan University was established by His Highness the Aga Khan. AKU is an international University with 11 teaching faculties spread over 8 countries. Its principal campus is located in the metropolitan city of Karachi, Pakistan. According to the Higher Education Commission (HEC) the Aga Khan University is ranked first in Health Sciences in Pakistan. The HEC also ranked the University number one overall in Pakistan based on the global impact of its research. AKU results for different faculties are declared at regular times.
